My name is Jeannine. I am passionate about supporting individuals, especially mid-life women, in their journey to enjoy life more:

  • Manage stress & anxiety

  • Improve flexibility, strength & agility

  • Achieve restful sleep

  • Cultivate gratitude, compassion, joy & equanimity

As women we typically rush through each day in an effort to get everything done. We care for and nurture everyone but ourselves and wonder why we are so exhausted at the end of the day. And when we finally get to bed, we can’t sleep.

I too used to be an expert at being stressed out while dealing with a multitude of competing personal and professional demands. At the peak of my career I experienced a “near-miss mental health breakdown” but thankfully I had yoga in my life. With the same self-discipline that I devoted to my work and my physical yoga practice, I turned to yoga’s breathing practices and spiritual principles to help me in my daily life.

Nurture, Heal & Transform

I learned to relax in the midst of the chaos of my high-stress healthcare management position and the demands of my family life. In applying yogic nurturing and healing principles to reduce my anxiety, I transformed myself from an expert at being stressed to an expert at being relaxed.

I have been teaching yoga since 2014. I am a Canadian Yoga Alliance Certified Registered Yoga Teacher, CYA-RYT500, having completed over 500 hours of teacher training certificate programs and workshops with many, many wonderful teachers from various traditions and specializations: ashtanga vinyasa yoga, restorative yoga, yin yoga, iyengar yoga, pelvic floor yoga. I am also a Level 1 certified Relax and Renew® Trainer/Teacher.

I made a very important life decision in 2015 and retired from the high-pressure, fast-paced healthcare job that I loved, so I could channel my knowledge and energy into serving others in a different way. I am passionate about sharing this expertise with you, and supporting you in connecting to the joy that life can be when you relax with it.

The health and wellness movement is one of the most significant sociological trends of the 21st century. I am currently enrolled in Yoga Wellness Educator training, and my goal is to specialize in yoga for wellness and functional aging to better meet the needs of ALL of my students. Yoga is available to EVERY body!

I am very grateful for the opportunity to help others. My hope is to support you along your yoga journey and to do so with equanimity, compassion and joy.
